Book finished: Aurora

Aurora by Kim Stanley Robinson

Compelling, unexpected, unpredictable, and with good characters that I cared about. That's what I want, that's what I got. Four or five sequential sub-stories, each one interesting and hard to put down. Interesting (to me, anyway) philosophical questions posed, not necessarily answered. I highlighted several passages, which is usually a good sign of an interesting story. Might have made 5 stars if I were feeling a bit generous today, but generally 5 stars for me is a book I feel defines the genre or makes an impact I think I will remember for years. This isn't quite that but it's quite good IMO.

I am glad that KSR seems to have figured out how to tell a story in less than 2000 pages.
